The Maltese Night Life

Hi folks, I apologize for the delay, suddenly there were too much programs and events to attend. And of course there were also moments when I felt bored, but I spent that time with watching my movies and TV shows instead :D But I'm back now! As in the past 1.5 week we went "out" several times, I decided to write a Malta Night Life review colored with pictures.
So first last week we went for a Birthday celebration. But not that usual birthday party...it was a surprise party organized by us. On Monday. So I believe it was a big surprise - because who is celebrating on Monday? :D But what was very usual (for me by now) the German company. Fortunatelly I always found someone who was sorry enough for me and talked in normal English language so I can understand.
We had a table reservation at Juuls Bar, which is actually a reggie bar with loud reggie music a cool chillin' area inside. They also have a cool reggie car, a van parking outside, I like it so much, but I never took a picture about it, however I passed it soo many times.
After the chillin' mojitos we hit Paceville (the party area, what I already mentioned several times). From all the clubs we chose Havana, which was a good choice as it's huge and it was Monday, so it was more or less empty and there was no killing each other in the crowd. I liked it! I hate Paceville bars during the summer. Going to party means only sweating, suffering, hitting and killing each other and waiting hours at the bar for drinks. Horrible. This time I really enjoyed it - nice level of alcohol and enough space to dance was a perfect combination for that night. So here is King Roy and Princess Tündee, how we enjoyed it.
Which was the best... as I figured out actually it was a Gay night at Havana. Me and gay guys is a story for another blog post, but shortly it's about my weak addiction to these cute guys. I always wanted to have one as a best friend - going for shopping together and talking about shampoos and cosmetics etc. Blablabla, only thing I wanted to say I met some of these guys there. Four guys dancing sexy together (when I say sexy, I mean this sexy cute more or less girly dance). I was melting. It was an absolute mission for me to get them and take a picture together. Of course I made it, here it is. Aren't they eatable? :)
On Friday we were invited for a Housewarming party of a friend. Of course German :D It was a party in a smaller apartment with lot of people and mess at the end. Obviously after that hitting Paceville again, this time Shadows. But I didn't like it that much, it was weekend, lot of people and I was also a bit tired. As I figured out today it supposed to be a Dance like a Machine Party. Interesting :) Some picture from the night.

When it comes to party in Paceville I'm up for Havana, mainly because of its size. But you just realize it early night, when it's empty as later usually it's full of people. Also the music is good there - not only the popular radio songs, but it's like a "little bit of everything" I would say. You don't get bored, every next song is a surprise.
BUT my very big favourit (and I didn't even know about the existence 'till they took me there) is Prestige. Prestige is the place, where I want to go when I'm fed up with all the hits coming from everywhere. I am 100% sure they will play there my Shoulda (Jamie Woon) favourit song in the Samy Chelly remix I love, Paul's Aaron and Sky and Sand or Moan by Trentemoller and I can just dance with closed eyes, feeling the music in my body&soul and nobody will look at me and think "she is weird", because everyone is doing the same. It's never crowded, so there is always enough place to move&dance. Maybe the people don't like this alternative music or they just don't know about this bar, but it's amazing and perfect for me.

On Sunday I was bored and felt more like socializing than sitting at home, so I persuaded my baby for some evening coctails. We went to Paceville again and Plush had a promotion of pitchers for 5, so we had a Vodka&Cranberry one.

What was very surprising for me, he had this idea to visit the Dragonara Casino and to have some fun. So we went there and the first thing I saw a whole line of grannies(!!!) playing slots machines. Now we know how the Maltese ladies are spending their Sunday nights :D We also met a grandpa, who was so proud that from 1000€ he won 700 that night and also told us he is a casino player for 43 years now and loves German football :D Here are the grannies in a skirt how real ladies are doing it!
So that's all for today, next time I will show you some night pictures about Malta, if we are already talking about nights and I feel so sorry for my home friends that I simply can't upload more sunny pictures, while they are already wearing their winterjackets and boots and me still flipflops, shirts and shorts.
Nice evening, I'm going for German football now :)
